This 2006 Morgan Plus 4 perfectly illustrates why the classic Morgan design is so timeless. The long bonnet, distinctive mudguards and compact bodywork are combined with the deep Dark Maroon paintwork, giving the car a particularly stylish and quintessentially British look.
Under the bonnet lies a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 145 pk and 187 Nm. Thanks to a kerb weight of just 877 kilograms, the Plus 4 feels light and responsive. The five-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive make the driver a real part of the driving experience.
The classic look is further enhanced by the spoked wheels, the luggage rack with spare wheel and the many chrome details. The interior, too, exudes traditional Morgan style, with brown leather, a beautiful wooden dashboard, analogue instruments and a wooden steering wheel.
With the roof down, the character of this Plus 4 really comes into its own. A pure, light British roadster in which the engineering is deliberately kept simple and driving pleasure takes centre stage. A Morgan that does not try to be modern, but is instead special precisely because it remains true to its origins.
