We employ talented hospitable employees in various disciplines such as the kitchen and logistics heart of the organisation in Maarsbergen, at Brasserie Helden in Amsterdam or in corporate catering at DELL-EMC.

Locations

We are a popular party caterer at various event locations in and around Amsterdam. We usually organise gatherings at clients’ locations, in their showroom, office or warehouse. If your location is too small or you wish to add an extra touch to the organisation of your event, we have contacts with numerous locations where we can organise your event. Depending on your specific requirements, we will work out suggestions for you.

Cafe Brasserie Helden

In Amsterdam, we operate Café Brasserie Helden, “the living room” of business Sloterdijk.

At any time of day, the heroes of Heroes put delicious snacks and high-quality dishes on the table in no time. Enjoy a delicious glass of wine, a cold beer or something stronger inside or outside on our large terrace. A delicious latte with something sweet is of course also possible. Before, after, during work or from home, because here at Helden – the living room of Sloterdijk – it is simply good to be here. Café Brasserie Helden is a great place to organise a corporate event. Helden also provides delivery of lunch dishes in Sloterdijk.

Sustainable

We attach importance to sustainable and safe business practices and have taken various measures to preserve the environment as much as possible (waste separation). We use energy efficiently and sustainably (green electricity at our production site). Transport of materials, resources and products are combined as much as possible. This is in the interest of both the environment and our company.

With regard to food safety, we adhere to the HACCP standards common in our industry. We are audited by an external agency for compliance with these rules. Our suppliers must be HACCP certified in order to deliver. Whenever possible or if requested by clients, we use products of Dutch origin, grown responsibly if at all possible. Through sophisticated production, good agreements with clients, we prevent food waste and strive for recycling.

About Van Laar catering

We are a hospitality and catering organisation rooted in Amsterdam. The owners, Jan-Willem van Laar and Oscar Huizing, have gained their experience and worked together for years at leading party caterers. Van Laar Catering was founded in 2011 by Jan-Willem van Laar. Since 2015, Oscar Huizing has been co-owner, and together we guarantee catering that is perfectly tailored to the target group.

Jan-Willem acts as operational and commercial manager, while Oscar, as head chef, leads the kitchen brigade and is responsible for culinary and creative product development.

The small-scale size of our company ensures that we operate in an artisanal manner, while remaining innovative in the catering industry.

We work for both corporate and government clients and private individuals who want to celebrate a birthday, for example.
