At first sight a gorgeous sports car from the mid 1950s. A Barchetta the likes of which are no longer being produced. Or are they?
Minotto is the brain child of Dutchman Hans Teijgeler. His love for classic Italian sports cars and his passion for ‘real’ driving sprouted the idea for Minotto. It took Teijgeler 8 years to perfect the concept, something we feel he has succeeded in. And we are not alone in this. The car has gotten many accolades from the press. Not just because of the magnificent looks, but also for its raw, pure driving characteristics. The latter having been compared to those of the iconic Ferrari F40 by several journalists.
The Minotto will be hand-built in a very exclusive small series and would not look out of place next to a Ferrari 750 Monza or a Maserati 300S from the 1950s. The technology however is very much contemporary. And because of the use of modern materials such as carbon fiber and aluminium, the car in its final form will weigh in at well under 900 kg.
There is a lot more to be told about the Minotto than we have space to write here. So come admire it in our showroom.
