In 1968 the Morgan Motor Company introduced a unique car, the Morgan Plus8. A light weight sports car with a large V8 engine under the hoods. For no less than 35 years this model was produced in Malvern until the Roadster V6 was introduced as a successor in 2004. The Plus8 ceased to exist ... Until 2012 when the new Plus8 was introduced, based on the chassis and platform of the Morgan Aero8. That meant a complete aluminum chassis, independent suspension and a 4.8 V8 engine that could be delivered with both automatic and manual gearbox. Unfortunately this Plus8, together with the Aero8, went out of production in 2018. Morgan even announced this time that it will no longer produce 8-cylinder engines in the future. A dying breed so to say...
The car offered here was first delivered in 2013 in the Netherlands. The owner was looking for a classic look with a modern touch. That is why, on special request, a metallic version was made of the color Royal Ivory, a uni color that Morgan had in the program as standard. There was chosen for a dark brown leather interior with ivory colored piping, a walnut dashboard and a beautiful dark brown mohair roof. A timeless combination that appealed to everyone at the time, now and will in the future. Furthermore, the Morgan is equipped with two airbags, air conditioning, cruise control, ABS, heated seats and power steering, making this Plus8 a car with almost all common modern features, but which still retains that old Morgan look. With only 10,000 km on the counter, this Morgan is almost as good as new.
