This Morgan Plus Six First Edition brings together two worlds that, at first glance, seem worlds apart. Morgan’s classic British styling and traditional craftsmanship remain intact, but beneath the surface lies modern technology that gives this roadster a level of performance you might not immediately expect from its timeless appearance.
This 2020 Plus Six is finished in the stylish Morgan Emerald Green metallic, combined with a Soft Grain Tan leather interior. A particularly fitting combination, in which the traditional Morgan details also come to the fore beautifully. For instance, the car features a matt wood dashboard, a leather bonnet strap and a luggage rack. The Mohair Soft Top completes the look and emphasises the character of a true British roadster.
Comfort has not been overlooked either. The Comfort+ Seats are fitted with seat heating and headrests featuring an embroidered Morgan logo. The Carpet Box Weave adds a warm touch to the interior, whilst air conditioning further enhances comfort on longer journeys. The 19-inch alloy wheels lend the classic lines a slightly more modern and sporty look.
Under the long bonnet lies a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo engine from BMW, producing 340 pk and 500 Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Thanks to a kerb weight of just 1,060 kilograms, the Plus Six accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 267 km/h.
As a First Edition, this Plus Six also marks the beginning of an important new era for Morgan. The traditional look has been retained, but combined with significantly more modern technology and performance. It is precisely this combination of Emerald Green, the warm leather interior, classic details and the powerful six-cylinder engine that makes this a Morgan in which history and modern performance come together in a special way.
